Inhaling breath upon breath of the richness of life; the intake of Spirit revives exhausted airways, invigorating the waste-away with unfettered power.
Life-blood flows afresh through ghosted veins, pulsing passion with the rhythmic gallops of hoofed feet.
Mortified muscles strain to shake free from death’s sleep. Limbs long-unused stretch to find purchase with the earth.

As I read these two dueling theologies, it suggests itself repeatedly that Piper’s concerns about God’s glory, and the preservation of the name of God, are met precisely through God’s meeting God’s covenantal obligations to Israel, as Wright proposes.
